Extraordinary Views

As much as our guests enjoy the villa itself, it is the view from the villa that they mention first when talking about their stay at Villa Domingue in St Barts.

As much as our guests enjoy the villa itself, it is the view from the villa that they mention first when talking about their stay at Villa Domingue in St Barts.

Watch this short home-made video to start enjoying the view from our deck.

First, as the villa is located at the tip of Pointe Milou, so it means that the sea surrounds the villa. Each guestroom has a view on the sea, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea.

Second, guests enjoy stunning sunsets. Imagine: you are sitting in a comfortable chaise, on the wooden deck, next to the pool. The sun is setting directly in front of you. The islets around the main island of St Barts look like platinum rocks on a silver plate. After the sun sets, the sky becomes pink, orange, and red over both Saint Barts and Saint Martin Time to have another cocktail. Tomorrow, the sun will set again, and the sky will look very different. As beautiful, but different.

Third, your horizon is never dull at Villa Domingue : you can watch what is going on in St Jean Bay, look at beautiful yachts sailing past the small islands right in front of the villa, or see the lights go up at night on hilly Saint Martin and flat Anguilla.

Living-Room

The lounge has a wooden floor, comfortable designer sofas, a flat plasma TV on the wall and a library full of American books. And the internet.

It is a great place to read in the morning, chat over coffee after lunch or watch your favorite DVD at night.

You can contemplate the sea from both sides of the room. Enjoy the outside view in privacy, thanks to the tinted windows.

Yes, sometimes, it rains in St Barts. So, it is a great pleasure to be able wait for the sun to come back in a comfortable and welcoming room. Look inside the furniture in the room : there are family games that are always fun to play with friends or kids.

And for those who cannot wait to check out our St Barts vacation tips on our travel blog Your St Barts, the room has Wi-Fi. Not that you should be working while in St Barts! But we’ve been known to have a few nice business ideas while typing away on our laptops, sitting in these plush sofas.

Our st Barts Villa: Domingue

Welcome to our Villa Domingue, our St Barts villa. There are only a few private homes located on the foreland of Pointe Milou, in Saint Barthelemy, and you will not find a more pristine and beautiful setting than what this splendid 4-bedroom villa offers.

Villa Domingue is a superb example of how the delicate beauty of nature and the modern conveniences of a luxury home can be woven into the same setting without compromising either.

This premier villa will comfortably accommodate 8 persons. It is great for 4 couples of friends staying on the island or for a family with teenagers.  Come and have a look at the pictures….

The villa offers a unique and picturesque view of St Jean’s Bay, as well as of surrounding islands and islets.

Privacy is a big asset of this villa: you can soak up the sun on the deck or play around in the pool in complete ignorance of the rest of the world. It is very quiet, with just the sound of the waves crushing on the nearby cliff.

Each of the bedrooms is suitable for two guests, with individual bathroom, shower and air conditioning. The lounge has a wooden floor, comfortable design sofas, a flat plasma TV on the wall and a library full of American books.

The large teak deck will guide you to the heated pool overlooking the sea, while the fitness room will keep you in shape before heading to St Barts’ gourmet restaurants.

Sandra, our ever-smiling housemaid, will take care of you.

By the way, where does the name “Domingue” come from? The answer has to do with the adventurous ancester of Bruno de Courrèges, the villa’s owner.

200 years ago, one of the villa’s current owner ancestors left France to start a new life in Santo Domingo. When the island became independant, he came back to France. In order to honor his ancester’s memory, Bruno de Courrèges chose to name his Sr Barts villa “Domingue”, the French translation of Domingo.
