St Barts Island is a beautiful place to visit and have a villa. Coming in at only 8.1 square miles (or 21km), it is small and quaint, but big on luxury. Considered a “playground” for the rich and famous, the island is littered with high-end boutiques, chic restaurants, and Luxe hotels, and 20 beaches to play and frolic around. However, it is possible to find affordable accomodations for the average tourist.
Although the island is small, it’s population is that of almost an entire European city; as of the most recent census, the island had almost 6900 inhabitants; most of who speak English as the tourism industry is a primary source of income for most of these folks. The safest island in the Carribean, it has a non-existent crime rate; I can go out any time, day or night, and never worry about my personal safety. It is such a change of pace from many other vacation destinations; no street traders, no pick-pockets, no muggers.
St Barts island is a place that everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. But beware, once you’ve visited us, you might want to come back again and again; it’s just that enchanting.
