St. Barts Hotels

When you’re planning a trip to the beautiful island of St. Barts, you have several choices when it comes to accommodation. It can be overwhelming going through website after website to figure out which hotel is the perfect one for your vacation to the Caribbean.

I’ve compiled a list of all the hotels in St. Barts so you can have all the information in one place. I’ve even listed my favorite hotels to make your decision easier, hopefully.

List of St. Barts Hotels

St. Barts has about 25 hotels on our tiny island. We rely on the French star rating system on the island for rating our hotels, which rates by the type of accommodation and their star category. Our hotels range from one to five-star hotels, and we even have one palace!

If you’re wondering what a palace rating is, it’s a step above a five-star rating. You’ll notice that some of our hotels don’t have a star rating because they don’t fit into the ranking system. For example, if an accommodation offers bungalows and not hotel rooms, they won’t have stars.

Palace Hotels

On the French star rating system, a palace rating is equivalent to more than five stars. We only have one of these on the island:

  • Cheval Blanc St-Barth Isle De France

5-Star Hotels

We have nine 5-star hotels on the island. These hotels are some of the largest and have all the comforts and luxuries you could want on an island vacation. The 5-star hotels are:

  • Barriere Le Carl Gustaf
  • Christopher Saint Barth
  • Eden Rock St. Barths
  • Le Barthelemy Hotel and Spa
  • Le Sereno
  • Le Toiny
  • Manapany Cottages and Spa
  • Rosewood Le Guanahani St. Barth
  • Villa Marie St-Barth

4-Star Hotels

We have one 4-star hotel on the island and a brand new one that will be open to visitors in 2022:

  • Le Village
  • Emeraude Plage (2022)

3-Star Hotels

For a quality hotel that won’t break the bank, these are our 3-star hotels:

  • P’tit Morne
  • Baie Des Anges

Boutique Hotels

A boutique hotel is typically a smaller hotel but still upscale. We have two boutique hotels on the island:

  • Pearl Beach Hotel
  • Tropical (2021)

Low-Key Hotels, Cottages, and Resorts

If you’re looking for a resort or cottage in St. Barts, you have the choice of nine:

  • Les Ilets De La Plage
  • Les Ondines Sur La Plage
  • Le Nid D’Aigle
  • Les Moulettes
  • Villa Lodge 4 Epices
  • Les Cottages Les Sucriers
  • Auberge De Terre Neuve
  • Auberge De La Petite Anse
  • Au Coeur Caraibe St. Barth

My Favorite Hotels

All of the hotels on St. Barts are excellent and make for a beautiful experience, but if you want to narrow down your list, here are my favorite hotels in St. Barts.

La Baie Des Anges

La Baie Des Anges has ten freshly decorated studio rooms. Each hotel room has a color palette that reflects the ocean.

When you book a room at this hotel, you’ll have air conditioning, a satellite TV, a telephone, a bathroom with a shower, a living room, a kitchenette, and a balcony with ocean views or pool views.

There’s an amazing restaurant at the hotel, La Langouste. The menu boasts French cuisine with a Creole influence and a lot of fresh seafood. It’s the perfect spot to have dinner with a view when you don’t feel like leaving the hotel grounds.

This 5-star hotel has 37 rooms and is a legendary hotel on the island. Remy De Haenen created Eden Rock to be surrounded by a beautiful coral reef and white sandy beaches. You’ll find Eden Rock in the heart of St. Jean Bay.

Eden Rock is welcoming to families because there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The hotel is within walking distance to Jean Beach, a chic bar, a luxurious spa, and two fabulous restaurants.

Rosewood Le Guanahani

Initially opened in 1986, Rosewood Le Guanahani reopened in 2021 for travelers. This hotel is located on the white sand beaches of Marigot Bay and Grand Cul de Sac Lagoon, giving guests the perfect ocean views.

Rosewood Le Guanahani is a little larger than some other places to stay on the island, with 66 luxury rooms. Regardless of where your room is, you’ll have direct access to the beaches along the lagoon.

This hotel is known for vibrant colors, breathtaking views and is perfect for families.

You’ll find a gourmet restaurant close to the beach where you can dine in luxury as often as you want.

If you’re looking for the best hotel for the value and price, Hotel Christopher may be the one for you. Located on Pointe Milou, you’ll have fantastic views of the Caribbean Sea when you stay here. All 38 of the rooms have been renovated and have a view of both the pool and ocean.

One standout feature of Hotel Christopher is the elegant infinity pool. When you’re swimming in this outdoor pool, you’ll be able to see the small island of Tortue. The infinity pool is the place to be when it’s time for sunset.

Guests won’t go hungry or thirsty when you stay at this beautiful hotel. There are two bars and two restaurants that are serving Caribbean-inspired dishes. If you want to be pampered to the fullest, Sisley Spa has a home on the property.

Les Ilets De La Plage

Les Ilets De La Plage offers guests 11 elegant villas. These villas are located on the beach surrounded by palm trees or tucked away in secluded lush tropical gardens. All the villas are on the Bay of St. Jean, giving guests easy access to some of the best beaches here.

Four villas line the palm trees, and there are six ocean view villas, each with one room. The final villa is the secluded garden villa with three rooms, making it perfect for families or a larger group.

Each guest or group of guests receives a restaurant guide to St. Barts, and those who work there are more than happy to arrange meals for you.

If you don’t want to spend your day swimming in the turquoise waters or getting sandy at the beach, they have a pool where you can soak up the sun. Something unique that this hotel offers guests is babysitting services upon request.

Les Mouettes

You’ll find Les Mouettes right on Lorient beach. This seven bungalow hotel is small but incredibly charming. Each bungalow has air conditioning, a view of the beach and ocean, a kitchenette on the terrace, and WIFI.

The property at Les Mouettes is one of the more simple accommodations on St. Barts, but it’s still a beautiful place to stay while here. You’re a short walk to the supermarket for any food or snacks you may want, and there are still plenty of restaurants in the area.

Manapany Cottages and Spa

Hotel Manapany is one of the most popular and luxurious accommodations in St. Barts. It’s in a quiet neighborhood on the north side of St. Barthelemy.

As one of the best hotels here, they’re doing their best to be more eco-friendly. The electricity for the property comes from solar panels.

There are 40 guest rooms and suites that are nothing but elegant, and the rest of the site mirrors that elegance. Everything you could want in a hotel, you’ll find at Hotel Manapany. They have a fitness center, complimentary yoga, a wellness spa, and a full-service restaurant and bar.

Cheval Blanc Saint-Barth Isle De France

The property of Cheval Blanc Saint-Barth Isle De France is a short drive from the airport and is on the beach in Flamands. There are 39 different rooms, villas, and suites for guests to choose from.

Even though these rooms are on the beach, there’s still a lush tropical garden on-site that adds to its beauty.

This luxury and intimate hotel is an excellent spot for love birds. There are two private pools for guests and a plethora of spa treatments you can purchase.

If you need a break from soaking up the sun, their fitness center is always open, and they even offer yoga classes. Not all places offer free parking in St. Barts, but Cheval Blanc does.

Salines Garden Cottages

Salines Garden Cottages is located in south St. Barts, just minutes away from an undeveloped but picturesque beach. This smaller hotel comprises five cottages nestled into lush tropical gardens. Each cottage has a kitchenette, a terrace, a private bathroom, and air conditioning.

Guests have access to a private pool that has complimentary beach towels. They offer discounted prices for guests looking to travel during the low season.

The owners of this property want all their guests to feel well taken care of and offer a complimentary breakfast service regardless of whether you visit during the low season or high season.

Le Sereno

Le Sereno is another hotel that overlooks the lagoon in Grand Cul De Sac. The decor at Le Sereno is elegant and refined. The famous Parisian designer, Christian Liaigre, strived to create a private property for guests to enjoy St. Barts.

Christian Liaigre built this accommodation with 39 suites and three villas with four bedrooms. This site offers a private pool, a delicious restaurant on-site, and a bar and lounge.

The suites and villas at Le Sereno come with everything you would expect a 5-star hotel to have. This hotel is one of the best hotels for honeymooners.

When you book your stay here, they offer a honeymoon package that includes VIP service to and from the airport, champagne upon arrival, and a romantic couples massage.

Le Toiny

If you’re looking for a panoramic view of the sea, Le Toiny delivers. Located on the eastern side of the island, Le Toiny has fantastic guest reviews because of the fantastic service. The villa-style suites are in a garden that provides privacy.

Each suite has a private pool and a terrace to enjoy the fresh air or eat a delicious meal from their restaurant, Le Gaiac.

Pearl Beach Hotel

Conveniently located in St. Jean, right on St. Jean beach, is Pearl Beach Hotel. Some call this a Tom beach hotel because it backs up into this section of the beach. This small but charming property has 12 rooms and suites that all have tiled floors to keep you cool during the warm months.

The restaurant and bar are on the beach. Dining here lets you enjoy your meal and drink with your toes in the sand.

Final Thoughts

Whether you choose to stay on this beautiful island in the most luxurious hotel or something more low-key, your trip is sure to be one you’ll never forget.
