You can book Villa Domingue in a 2-bedroom, a 3-bedroom or a 4-bedroom configuration. If you are planning these Caribbean vacations, you want to make sure that all bedrooms offer the same kind of perks. This is what we heard from our guests, so 4 years ago we remodeled all the bedrooms, moved walls, decorated things anew, in order to make sure that everyone is happy with their bedrooms.

Each bedroom offers at least:

• A king bed (in 3 bedrooms) or twin beds (1 bedroom) with European linens
• Individual air conditioning and a ceiling fan
• An en-suite bathroom with 2 sinks, comfortable towels, a shower, a toilet, a hair dryer and toiletries
• A dressing area with large cabinet
• A Wifi connection, a safe, a sound system, a TV and a DVD player

I was talking with a young lady once and here’s how she and I managed to sum up why St. Barths is an amazing destination for couples:

• Small island: Safer, private, easy to get around, easy to meet interesting people

Most people come to St. Barths by plane (SBH airport) and transit through St. Martin (SXM airport). You can also reach San Juan (Puerto Rico) directly.

If you do not like small planes, my advice is to take the ferry (Voyager III) from St. Martin to the port of Gustavia in St. Barths. It is also cheaper.[/x_accordion_item][x_accordion_item title=”Pointe Milou, a quiet and upscale area of St. Barths” open=”false”]For a couple like you looking for a romantic time with plenty of privacy, the quartier of Pointe Milou is ideal: There is not much traffic, as it is out of the main roads, and there are no commercial developments, except for the beloved restaurant / night bar le Ti St-Barth and for the very nice luxury hotel Le Christopher. Both of them are located away from villa BelAmour, but still within walking distance of the house, which is quiet convenient when you do not want to drink and drive. Just saying.

Pointe Milou is very residential, with a lot of very large luxury villas overlooking the ocean. The area does not have a beach, but offers amazing volcanic cliffs from which you can contemplate wonderful sunsets. Just like villa BelAmour, the most prized villas have views over Lorient, Saint Jean bay, the smalls islands that surround St. Barths, St. Martin, and even Anguilla when the air is very clear.

To get to Pointe Milou from the airport, it is a 15-minute drive: Leave the airport, drive past the beaches of St-Jean, past the Eden Rock hotel, drive to Lorient, go up the hill of Camaruche and then turn left. At the junction, leave the quartier of Mont-Jean to your right and head to Pointe Milou.

Close to Camaruche, there is a small convenience store where you can refill your fridge. Most people shop at the supermarkets in either Lorient (a 10-minute drive) or St Jean (a 15-minute drive).

All the beaches of St. Barths, such as Saline, Grand Cul de Sac and Toiny are under a 15-minute drive.
